Terms of Use
Last updated: February 22, 2026
By accessing or using the Institute of Business & Finance ("IBF") website at www.icfs.com, enrolling in any IBF designation program, or using any IBF services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our website or services.
IBF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization incorporated in the State of California.
Enrollment and Programs
IBF designation programs are professional development credentials for financial professionals. By enrolling, you agree to the program terms, policies, and requirements as described in the current IBF Catalog, the IBF Student Manual, and any enrollment agreement provided at the time of registration.
IBF reserves the right to update program content, requirements, and policies. Students are entitled to the terms in effect at the time of their enrollment for the duration of their active enrollment period.
Tuition and Payment
Tuition for all designation programs is $1,495 per program. Payment is due at the time of enrollment. IBF accepts payment through its online enrollment system. All prices are in U.S. dollars.
Refund policies are detailed in the IBF Catalog and comply with California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) regulations.
Intellectual Property
All IBF program materials, including textbooks, digital content, assessments, Chapter Roundtables, Chapter Blueprints, Chapter Snapshots, Reference Atlases, and the IBF Knowledge Center, are the intellectual property of the Institute of Business & Finance.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any IBF materials without prior written permission from IBF.
Enrolled students are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use program materials for personal educational purposes during and after their enrollment.
Designation Usage
Upon successful completion of an IBF program and certification exam, you are authorized to use the applicable designation mark in accordance with IBF's Trademark Usage Guidelines. This authorization is contingent on maintaining active status through annual CE requirements and membership renewal.
IBF reserves the right to revoke designation usage rights for failure to maintain CE requirements, violation of the IBF Code of Ethics, misrepresentation of credentials, or any conduct that brings the designation or IBF into disrepute.
MyIBF Connect
MyIBF Connect is IBF's student and member portal. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, all activity that occurs under your account, and notifying IBF immediately of any unauthorized use.
IBF reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Website Use
You agree not to use the IBF website to transmit harmful, offensive, or unlawful content, attempt to gain unauthorized access to any IBF system or account, interfere with the proper functioning of the website, use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract content, or impersonate any person or entity.
Knowledge Center
Articles published in the IBF Knowledge Center are for educational and informational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. IBF is not responsible for actions taken based on Knowledge Center content.
Proctored Examinations
IBF certification exams are administered through online proctoring. By taking an IBF exam, you agree to the proctoring requirements, including webcam and screen monitoring, identity verification procedures, the IBF exam integrity policy, and the prohibition against unauthorized materials during the exam.
Violations of exam integrity may result in exam invalidation, program dismissal, or revocation of previously earned designations.
Limitation of Liability
IBF provides its website, programs, and services on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, IBF disclaims all warranties, express or implied. IBF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website or services.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of San Diego County, California.
Changes to These Terms
IBF may update these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
