About Thomas
Since 1990, I have had my own financial services firm specializing in retirement planning and 401(k) rollovers. My office is located in Robinson Township at the intersection of I-79 and Route 60 (Exit 60A from either direction) in the Cedar Ridge Business Park.
In 1973 I graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Dayton, with a major in Economics.
Since 2001, I have been a frequent financial contributor on WQED-TV's AgeWise and LifeQuest with Eleanor Schano, speaking on a number of financial topics. I have also been a guest co-lecturer at Robert Morris University, School of Adult and Continuing Education on Estate Planning and Wealth Transfer strategies.
Over the past seventeen years, I have invested in excess of 1500 hours continuing to educate myself to better assist clients with their financial issues. I have earned the coveted, and industry recognized, designations of ChFC, CLU, and CFS. Besides having all the securities and insurance licenses required to market my practice, I took the additional initiative to gain a very thorough professional level of expertise to advise clients competently from a comprehensive financial planning perspective.
While education is essential, nothing can replace a commitment to the highest levels of ethics and legal compliance. I have agreed to comply with all the codes of ethics of my professional designations and those of my Broker/Dealer, Securities America, Inc.
As far as my personal hobbies go, I have been a general aviation pilot since 1975, and enjoy reading and travel.
My wife, Melanie, and I have lived in the Pittsburgh area all our lives.
