Surya Metzler, CFS®

Over the last 20 years, Surya has become known for being a specialist in the areas of smart asset management and retirement income planning.   He helps clients realize their dream of financial independence through his trade marked Retirement Income Audit process.  Using a comprehensive approach, Surya helps his clients create significantly more efficient portfolios, reduce tax liabilities, and assure that loved ones and progeny are properly cared for, ultimately allowing people to live the kind of financially independent lives of which they dream.

Surya began his financial career in 2002 at American Express Financial Advisors (AEFA) in Irvine, CA, where he became the top first year advisor in the Southern California Market Group.  Surya also qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table Association, Advanced Advisor Group, and the prestigious “Circle of Success” during his years of service.  Based on performance, client satisfaction surveys, and quality of advice reviews, he continued as one of the top advisors at AEFA/Ameriprise until his departure.

In 2007, he founded Newport Wealth Advisors to put his clients needs first.   Creating relationships based on Trust, Respect, and Honesty, his focus is on objective and customized advice.  Surya has become well known for his ability to work closely with his clients, his recognition of the importance of identifying and prioritizing client needs, fiduciary responsibility, unique planning advice, and world class service.

Surya received his Certified Fund Specialist (CFS) from The Institute of Business and Finance.  He also has earned his Series 7, 66, California Life & Health, California Long Term Care Partnership, and California Variable Annuity licenses.  He proudly participates in the Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Orange County, mentoring today’s youth to assure tomorrows future.  A native of Southern California, Surya attended California State University, San Marcos, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree.  He currently resides in San Diego, California with his wife and two daughters.
