About Rance
Kevin Morgan, a native of Mobile, is the President of the Private Client Group at PlanFocus Financial Services. PlanFocus is a unique firm in the Mobile area because of the emphasis they place on corporate retirement plans and the experience that he and his partners bring to the business. He views his role as an extension of a clients’ HR Department by providing assistance in the design and maintenance of their retirement plan.
Prior to co-founding PlanFocus, Kevin was associated with Valic as an Investment Advisor Representative serving investors and retirees in the Mobile and Baldwin County areas. He was the lead Advisor to the Infirmary Health System 401(k) and 403(b) plan from 2005 until 2009 responsible for the participant experience, providing investment counsel and on-site education to its employees. Additionally, while at Valic he served as the Alabama District representative to the Southeast Regional Field Advisory Board, and was a Power of Service award recipient.
Morgan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and Finance from The University of Alabama and has attained the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation illustrating knowledge and competency in fiduciary studies. Additionally, he is a Gulf Coast Business guest columnist, and holds the FINRA Series 6, 63 and 65 registrations through LPL Financial, as well as his licenses for health and life insurance.
Participating in both, Industry and Community Organizations, Kevin is Past President and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Mobile County Chapter of The University of Alabama National Alumni Association, and The University of Alabama Parents Association. Additionally, he has coached Youth Football in the Mobile Youth Football Conference for 9 years, and served as the President of the Municipal Park Youth Football Association. Committed to the growth of our area, he serves on or contributes to various committees of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, including membership’s Diplomat Committee, and the Small Business Development’s Executive Roundtable Committee. He has been recognized in Who’s Who and is a veteran of the United States Navy. He and his wife Helen have 5 children and are parishioners of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
