About Mike
Mike is a Partner, Portfolio Manager and Financial Advisor at Financial Synergies. As Portfolio Manager, he is responsible for portfolio construction and management, investment research and analysis, and trading. As a Financial Advisor, he provides clients with financial advice, retirement income planning, and investment recommendations. Mike is a member of the Financial Synergies Investment Committee.
He began his investments career with what is now Invesco, where he was hired out of college as a mutual fund operations analyst. He served as a liaison between Invesco and large company retirement and pension plans. During his tenure with Invesco he gained a wealth of knowledge in the areas of mutual fund operations and company retirement plans.
Mike currently sits on the Technology, Operations & Service Advisory Board for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. From 2009 – 2011 he was a member of the Tamarac, Inc. Advisory Board. Tamarac, Inc. is a leading provider of software solutions to investment advisory firms.
Mike graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in 2000. He has over 13 years of experience in investments and holds two of the financial industry’s top professional designations: CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and Certified Fund Specialist (CFS®).
Mike lives in Sugar Land with his wife, Maggie; and their two children, Maddox and Maizy. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising and reading.
