Gilbert Mercado MBA, EA, MRFC, CFS, CES, CSA, CBC is Regional Director/President of Money Concepts Financial Planning Centre in Del Rio, Texas and CEO of Money Link Services Inc. Gilbert’s firms provide quality and professional assistance in retirement planning, financial planning, investment services, life insurance, income tax planning and preparation, bookkeeping and payroll services to both individuals and businesses. “Our objective is to insure our client’s financial goals and needs are met and create a long lasting professional relationship that will benefit all whom we serve”.

In addition to his independent office, Gilbert provides financial planning and investment services at all four branches of Border Federal Credit Union including Eagle Pass, TX Crystal City, TX and Laughlin Air Force Base through an affiliation agreement. He is an active member of the Del Rio Chamber of Commerce and the Del Rio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as well as an active member of the community having served in various positions in local civic and service organizations including, President of the Del Rio Rotary Club in 2005 and President of the Val Verde County Child Welfare Board in 2003. He currently serves as President of the Texas Society of Enrolled Agents Jalapeno Chapter located in San Antonio, Texas.

Gilbert holds various licenses including a Series 6, 7, 63, 65, 22 and the Texas Life, Accident and Health Insurance license. He is a Registered Investment Advisor and has earned the Master Registered Financial Consultant (MRFC), Certified Fund Specialist (CFS), Enrolled Agent (EA), Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), and Chartered Benefit Consultant (CBC) designations and continues to seek additional expertise and knowledge in varying areas of the financial industry. He has also been named to the prestigious Money Concepts Millionaires, Century, Professionals and Eagles Clubs, as well as being recognized as the Money Concepts Southwest Texas Region’s Most Improved Professional in 2007, the Southwest Texas Regions Financial Planner of the Year in 2008 and the Southwest Texas Regions Money Concepts International Planner of the Year in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Most recently he was named the Hispanic Chamber of Del Rio 2012 Businessman of the Year and the Southwest Texas Regions 2012 President of the Year. Most recently, he was named "Nuestro Orgullo" by the Texas Times magazine for 2018. In addition, Gilbert is a financial article contributor to the Del Rio News Herald and is routinely requested to speak regarding financial matters at local events and organizations.

Gilbert, his beautiful wife Irmarie, and their four children reside in Del Rio, TX. He enjoys traveling, furthering his education, reading and spending time with his family.
