About Douglas

Doug Mentzer is a well-known financial educator and speaker.

 

Doug serves as President of The Mentzer Group, a full-service, independent investment advisory firm dedicated to educating and serving clients throughout East Tennessee and beyond. Doug has helped hundreds of clients reduce their taxes, increase their income, protect and preserve their life savings, and plan for the most tax-efficient distribution of that savings during life and at death.

 

Doug also teaches through the Oak Ridge Institute for Continued Learning, and his financial presentations have been widely attended all over Tennessee.

  

Mr. Mentzer has received the Certified Funds Specialist and Certified Income Specialist designations from the prestigious Institute of Business and Finance and is a member of the National Ethics Association. The Mentzer Group is a Registered Investment Advisor.

 

Doug has lived in East Tennessee almost all of his life, and currently resides in West Knoxville with his wife Sarah, and their sons Jack and Jake. Doug is involved in his local church, where he volunteers in both missions and youth ministries. In his spare time Doug plays guitar, and enjoys biking, racquetball, martial arts, and football.
