FAQ's

What makes IBF’s CAS® designation relevant to my practice?

Many investors and advisors don’t understand annuities and, as a result, fail to take advantage of them. Our CAS® training gives you the insight and expertise to demystify annuities and capitalize on their unique benefits. You’ll serve your existing clients better and attract new ones looking for specialist-level guidance in this area.

How long does the course take?

Working remotely at your own pace—and at times that suit you best—you should be able to complete your CAS® designation in approximately 15 weeks. You are given one year to complete the course once you enroll.

How is the course structured?

Our CAS® curriculum is distributed across two easily digestible modules. Readings and practice questions prepare you for proctored online exams and the case study helps to demonstrate your growing mastery of topics and tools.

Is IBF’s CAS® designation recognized in the industry?

Yes. Our program is recognized by the California Board of Accounting, the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) Board, the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, and American College’s Professional Achievement in Continuing Education (PACE), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) as well as almost all of the leading Broker Dealers in the country.

How many CE credits will I earn?

All IBF programs qualify for CE credit required by the CFP Board and the American College’s PACE program. IBF designations also satisfy the CE requirements of the securities industry. Review our interactive map to see how many CE credits you can get in your state.
