Financial Advisor and owner Hugh B. Phillips has worked in the finance sector and wealth management for over 28 years. Initially he started in 1988 with Lincoln National Pension Insurance, Lincoln Financial Advisors Corporation and then Lincoln National Life Insurance before going independent in 1995 when he joined Securities America, Inc. and later founded the HBP Retirement Group, Inc.
Not only is Hugh a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional http://www.cfp.net he is also a Certified Fund Specialist (CFS®) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®).
Hugh’s primary focus of education and professional experience has been wealth management and retirement planning. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the California State University, Hayward before earning his advisor designations along with passing the Principal/Supervisory Exam, 2 General Industry/Product Exams as well as 2 State Securities Law Exams.
