About Barbara
Barbara A. Healy, AIF®, CFP®, CFS, CRC®, Barbara Healy is a Self Employed Consultant working with private sector retirement plans, public sector and non-profit educational institutions retirement plans. She is affiliated with NFP Retirement, an independent Registered Investment Advisory Firm. Barbara has earned an MBA degree in finance from DePaul University. She earned the CFP® designation from the College of Financial Planning, the Certified Funds Specialist designation, the Chartered Mutual Fund Specialist designation, the InFRE Certified Retirement Counselor Administrator designation, and AIF (Accredited Investment Fiduciary). Barbara is a member of the CFP Board of Standards, the Institute of Business and Finance, National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators (NAGDCA), and the Gerson Lehrman Consulting Group. Barbara is popular lecturer, and has authored the book “Personal Financial Planning Handbook for Education and other Nonprofit Employees” and has published many financial articles and monographs as well as recorded many educational recordings for MetLife Resources, Nationwide Retirement Solutions, and Great West Life. Barbara lives in Scottsdale, AZ with her husband and animal family consisting of one dog and a horse. She has 3 grown children and three grandchildren.
